Seriously. There appeared to be an air of total self-unawareness around the resurgence of this meme. It wasn’t so much a re-appropriation as it was a lowbrow regurgitation, buffered by total ignorance of its original context, which was to stifle a rather rational panic in the British zeitgeist at the start of WWII. Ultimately, it still reads as an injunction to ignore an event, and to maintain the given order of things. Don’t.
